Regulations EC261 / UK261
Air Canada is a full-service airline registered in Canada. Despite that, on some of its flights you are protected under European laws. There are two “laws” that apply to Air Canada European flights — EC261, also known as the EU flight compensation regulation, and the Regulation UK261. If your Air Canada flight from Europe is delayed, cancelled or overbooked, you might get EU or UK flight compensation. Don’t forget to file a claim!
EU and UK air passenger rights laws are practically identical.
